so the c-17 you see is sitting on the ocean. our entire airstrip is on the ocean. the airstrip here is the one sitting right outside the city. (an easy 20 min. walk)

in december this strip moves more toward the permanent ice shelf. (1 1/2 hour walk/40 min. delta ride away.)
